Dai 18-kai Hibarako isshu Family Cycling Taikai
(The 18th Family Cycling Tournament around Lake Hibara)

This tournament is cycling about 32km around Lake Hibara in Green Season in Urabandai-kogen.
You can ride a bike slowly in 3 hours and half. Participant's prize will be able and the committee will choose Miss cyclist, funny wear prize, family prize, eldest participant, and lucky prize.

Date: May 30 1999 (Sunday) In spite of rainy weather it will be held.
(This tournament will be called off in case of heavy rain.)

Participants: You must be over grade school kids who are healthy, men and women with capacity of riding bike.
The fee of participants: Adult/ High school students 1,500yen
Elementary & Junior high school students 1,000yen
Transportation: 40 minutes bus from Inawashiro Station, JR Ban-etsu Line

Dai 28-kai Urabandai Hinoyoma Matsuri
(The 28th Fire Mountain Festival in Urabandai)

This festival is the main summer feature in Urabandai. We hold a memorial service for the ancestors,
in Urabandai, pray for safety, and to have lantern displays on the water, Bon dancing, and fireworks.
We prepare for many remembrances and prize. We give all attendance original fans.

Date: July 21, 1999 (Wednesday) Only in case of heavy rain, it will be postponed.

Dai 15 kai Hibarako Matsuri
( The 15th Lake Hibara Festival)

We have the Hibarako Matsuri because of eruption of Mt. Bandai. We hold a memorial service for the people who died of eruption in Urabandai, pray for the safety, the fertility of land and the prosperity of children, and promote inhabitances of this region.
Date: August 15 1999 (Sunday)Only in case of heavy rain, this festival is called off.

Dai 18-kai Urabandai Cross-country Ski Taikai
(The 18th Cross-country Ski Competition in Urabandai)

This ski competition is approved by the Foundation All Japan Ski League. We races and walking ski. From beginners to upper level can attend this competition. The previous night we have folk entertainment, Japanese sake, mochi(rice pounding) , and so on.
We have lessons for beginners. The couches teach you how to enjoy cross-country.
Sprint races are held for grade school kids. We prepare for prize for all participants.
Skiers for races are prepared for commendation and prize.
